It often happens as an art maker that you hit on an awesome idea, and then find out that actually someone has already done it, and they've done it a lot better than you.
It's okay when that happens, if you look at it the right way. Looking at other artists whose work is similar to yours gives you an idea of context, and it pushes you even further to find some uncharted territory that you might call your own.
